Boy, these kids probably whine less than most of these commenters. Hipster kids are infinitely preferable to loser adults. Anything that gets kids away from a tv set has to be a good thing.

I remember when I started a teenage rock band... My mom didn't do all of our booking, PR, buy all of our equipment, buy a van and drive us all over the place, network for us, design and sell merch, check the do-rags on the mics... BITCH. WTF was she doing while we were trying to catapult our band to mega-stardom? Oh, right. She was either working or busy having her own dreams instead of maniplulating us to fulfill her broken ones. Reason #442 why I hate Park Slope: It's too difficult to determine who I hate more, hipster kids or their poser parents....

The Times is really on to a new phenomenon here. Kids like to start bands? Who knew?! Next thing they will tell us you can now get an "electrified" guitar that uses an "amplifier".
