A whole bunch of bands just came together to pay tribute to Bob Dylan. Here's some video from that tribute show, of Phil Lesh and Warren Haynes singing "Thunder on the Mountain". Also on hand were Patti Smith, Ryan Adams, Philip Glass, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Cat Power, and many more.
Next up on the list: Bruce Springsteen. Maybe Twyla Tharp will make The Boss her next project, too. This show will be the third in a series of fundraisers for Music For Youth. The first tribute concert was for Joni Mitchell. So far, none of those being honored have been to their own tributes. The Bruce Springsteen one is scheduled for April 5, producer Michael Dorf made the announcement at the Bob Dylan tribute. Wonder if The Killers will show up.

I'm pretty sure Joni Mitchell came out for the encore for her MFY benefit, can anyone confirm?
Actually, I was thinking of some other tribute show, for the MFY show her "cat was deathly ill" or something like that.
Bob Dylan wrote propaganda songs.
uh, I thought "the Boss" was Bruce Springstein
lol at calling bob dylan "the boss"
gothamist = self ownage masters
for those in need of clarity, the post was an announcement of the bruce springsteen tribute show coming up. ergo the "tribute for the boss" post title.
Well, this was not the high light of the Dylan Tribute. Do you by any chance have a clip of Warren Haynes, Joan Osborne and Kevn Kinney doing I Shall Be Released? That was a much more interesting highlight.
Also, if you have a copy of the Roots performance, you will be greatly rewarded by having lots and lots of hits on your You Tube video, because that performance was powerful and beautiful and the best high light of the night.
Thanks though. That guy Haynes can really play the guitar.
