The whole of the Manhattan Skyline is the No. 1 man-made wonder of the World, Period! As Ayn Rand said of that skyline: "I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York's skyline." "The sky over New York and the will of man made visible. What other religion do we need?" "I feel that if a war came to threaten this, I would throw myself into space, over the city, and protect these buildings with my body."

It's just so amazing to see a wonder of ancient times still standing to be a wonder of modern times. Like someone said..Lady Liberty and Eiffel Tower pale in comparison to The Pyramids of Giza.

Look, they're obviously not on the level of the wonders of the ancient world but it's a list for NYC's wonders, so I'd nominate St. John the Divine and the Cloisters. Oh, and the Rockettes.

What about the greatest building New York ever produced: The Equitable Building!? Now that was a man's building. When they have to redo the entire zoning law because of your building, you did something right!

If the world decides to make the Eiffel Tower or the Statue of Liberty a Wonder of the World - I am moving to Mars. There is no way that the Eiffle Tower or the Statue of Liberty should be considered a "Wonder" on the level of the Pyramids. The list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites is all we should need to plan our next vacation (which can't come soon enough).
