Blah Today, Windy Tomorrow

weather.com weather map
Warm weather continues for the ninth straight day today as air gets pumped up from the south ahead of an approaching storm. It's quite a storm, too! Currently centered over Memphis, the storm is likely to kick off high winds, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over much of the southeast later today. Say "hi" to a mild El Niño, as fall-winter severe storms along the Gulf Coast are more common when El Niño is around.

Before the storm arrives here tomorrow we are in a bit of a warm, blah holding pattern. Cloudy, warm and drizzly conditions, with a slight chance of showers, look to prevail until tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow morning's low temperature will be about normal. Normal for tomorrow's high temperature that is!

The winds pick up tomorrow afternoon and we may see a significant shower, but the real story is tomorrow night as the front approaches. Rain is almost certain, and a thunderstorm is possible. The Weather Service is predicting up to an inch of rain before the storm ends on Friday morning. After all this rain we deserve a sunny dry weekend, and that's what it looks like we'll get.

Way too early sneak peak at Thanksgiving weather: Weather.com, which will be exclusively sponsored next Friday by Sears, says next Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny with highs around 50. AccuWeather throws a bit of rain and clouds into their slightly cooler outlook.

Mr. Schumacher,

I love your weather-related insight. But blah today? This weather is fantastic considering its mid-November. As I write this, the sun is drenching the financial district with its rays, no rain so far . . . it ain't that bad at all.

Anyway, keep up with the good info, kind sir.

Personally, I kind of hate this weather were having . One day it's to damn warm for the fall gear so you have to make the decision of wearing something lighter and risk catching a cold. You could decide to do the smart thing and just deal with the weather as it comes by-daily . All I want is for fall to just be freakin fall! The does help me out with my sleeping though, So I guess it's not all bad .
