A strange tragedy in Brooklyn: Nine year old Knil Joel Noel was found dead in his family's apartment by his father yesterday afternoon. His mother was not there - she had jumped in front of an F train at Surf Avenue and West 8th Street. Sadier Jean Noel did not suffer severe injuries, but she lost two fingers and broke a leg.
A sister of the father, Evans Joseph, told the Daily News that Noel had called him. "She said, 'Forgive me.' My brother asked if she was going to hurt herself; was she going to throw herself in front of a train? She said, 'What do you think?'"
Police believe Noel may have suffocated Knil. And though neighbors were shocked, one told the Post, "The mother told me he was not doing too well in school and that they had to take him out."

What a very strange and sad story.
Hang her!

Heh. They should hang her, but only because she is one of those morons who decides to suicide via public transit system. I hate those people. They could have ingested poison, jumped off a bridge, blown their brains out, etc. BUT NOOOOOOOO. They had to make hundreds (if not thousands) of commuters late by selfishly throwing themselves in front of a train.
She deserves a hanging death in front of thousands of angry commuters on a Saturday afternoon.
I second that thought, ABC Girl.
jesus you commenters are crazed this morning. but who cares. anyway, isn't loosing 2 fingers a severe injury. or do you have to loose a whole hand for it to be considered severe.
why are these entries always so badly written. aren't there any editors on this site?
"Severe injury" implies potential loss of life, or at least something a bit worse than losing two fingers.
PS - hang her!
