LOL!!! Rudy talking about principles! Which ones, Rudy? Marrying your cousin, then dumping her when Donna Hanover comes along... and swearing to the Cardinal that you had no idea that you were cousins?
Dumping her, the mother of your children, on television... on Mother's Day? Carrying on an affair, while you were still married, with a married woman, while screaming in moral indignation about President Clinton's philandering? How about putting favors to donors first when you personally approved the radios that kept firefighters and cops from being able to talk to each other... and lead to the needless deaths of many of those men on 9-11.

This could go on... but I'll stop at that last one. That alone should have put him behind bars, not onto anyone's list of "heroes".

Rudy's "mug" is already on a warning label as part of the Warning Labels On Politicians™ campaign. The Warning Labels On Politicians™ campaign is a public service effort aimed at giving people the same type of warnings about politicians that they currently receive about other harmful things in life, such as drugs, tobacco, pesticides, etc. To learn more, type "Warning Labels On Politicians" in a Google search.

The 9/11 Whore strikes again.

The true lesson of the election is that people may be starting to rightly reject these guys who are so sure they're right about everything.

And while he would be a formidable candidate, it's hardly a given that the Whore would carry New York. After all, we know him best and many remember the pre-9/11 Rudy, whose answer to law and order was fire two great police commissioners (Kelly and Bratton) and start beating up black folks (Louima and Dorismond).

Same old Rudy. He was a class-A prick when he was the Mayor, He's still a class-A prick now ! The only difference would be now he's a world class prick of the Grade-A type . The people that supported this war have finally begun to see this for what it really is . The elephants lost the race, As well as the control . Deal with it like grownup's bunch of blubbering bitches !

First off, would everyone quit using the "Ummm" ... we know you think you're so above it all, but it's beyond annoying.

Mid terms. Two-term presidents get a message from voters in a predictable manner:

Ronald Reagan's party got trounced.
Bill Clinton's party got trounced.
Now George Bush's party got it.

Where's the mystery, folks.

i hope that rudy does run for president in '08. it will ensure a democratic victory in that election.

And if you really believe that, Republicans aren't the only ones with party blinders on. Rudy is maybe the only Republican on the planet that has a shot at carrying New York. Add that to the standard Republican states and you have yourself an electoral college win.

Umm... frankly what he said was exactly right. The Republicans DO have to go back to their principles and they DO have to figure out how to react to this. They're supposed to be the party of less government, balanced budgets, and scaled back social programs. That's what they won on in 1994. They lost this since they went all wack-o religious and big-brother-esque since 2002.

But hey, the democrats certainly aren't into waste. I'm sure our tax dollars didn't go into funding Rangel's "Generous spread."

Yeah, okay. The mid-terms meant nothing.

You right-wingers keep up that mantra and we'll see how far you go in '08.

Why is anyone that doesn't 100% agree with have to be a rightwinger? Ironically, you and Dick Cheney have something in common.

"Most of them lost in a nationwide wave of defeats that put Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate."

Hmmm, Could it be Rudy's Appearance hurt the candidates??

IMO, Rudy's remarks often seems out of touch wih reality.

Gothamist's analysis seems to be what is out of touch with reality and is devoid of credible political commentary. Gothamist's skewed biases are much worse than anything Rudy said (which was really innocuous by the way.).
