none of you idiots knew mr.butler so you need to keep your mouth off of him and his family.i knew him very well and he was a good person.so he had promblems everybody does nobody is perfect.he will be sadley missed by me!!

the fact that he was black has nothing to do with this particular incident. anyone mentioning otherwise is a racist themselves. the facts are: speeding (90+MPH) running red lights endangering pedestrians and other drivers endangering his passenger assault and attempted murder of a police officer(s) misuse of a vehicle brandishing a firearm possesion of an illegal firearm concealed weapon another thug down... boo hoo... cry me a river... NYPD just saved the tax payers millions on this thug's would be trial... and eventual release in 5 years.

Monique Butler said her son was an unemployed father of four children, an 8-year-old girl, twin 3-year-old girls, and a 2-month-old son. "He took care of his kids; I have to hand it to him," she said, adding that her son regularly visited his grandmother in a nursing home. Why oh why does Newsday see fit to interview the (dead) suspect's mother? Of course she's going to say what a wonderful person he was. The interview adds nothing to the story.

Save the racial abuse crap for a WORTHY argument. Let's see what we got here; 1) Speeding 2) Running a red light 3) Brandishing a firearm AND 4) Assault & injury on an officer. Gee, all this moron was missing was the huge sign reading: PLEASE SHOOT ME! I think we'll all rest easier tonight with this scuzzo off the streets permanently.
