Giants Limp Into A Big Game

2006_11_sgiantsbears.gifWhat should have been a classic matchup has been diminished by injury. Both the Bears and the Giants head into their Sunday Night game with big injury concerns. For Chicago, their top wide receiver is hurt and their All-Pro Linebacker, Brian Urlacher, is listed as questionable.

Those injuries are substantial, but nothing compared to what has happened to the Giants. Their starting defense is missing both defensive ends, two linebackers and a cornerback. In the span of a few weeks Adrian Awasom has gone from the practice squad to a starting job. On offense they have lost Amani Toomer for the season and Plaxico Burress will play with a bad back.

Chicago has played very well, but they have also benefited from a pretty easy schedule so far. In any other week, the Giants would be the pick, but with all the injuries it is hard to see them winning. It will be close, but Chicago by a field goal.
