  1. Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: a suspicious package at Columbus Circle, a person struck by subway at 34th Street, and an "armed EDP" on 9th Avenue.
  2. In the last two years, there have been nearly 600 car accidents along the ten block stretch of Atlantic Avenue from the river to Flatbush.

  4. Bloomberg is claiming that after his current term expires, he'll be "much too old to do anything else in government". In 2012, he'd be 70-- but that's the same age Reagan was when he took office.
  5. Ilana Benhuri, a woman injured in the Cory Lidle plane crash, got out of the hospital today. Her lawyer says they will sue the Lidle estate for damages.

  7. Speaking of Christians, did you know that the Jehovah's Witnesses maintain the lawns around the BQE interchanges in DUMBO? That must be why they are so well-groomed.
  8. Another bicyclist was killed in a car-accident today, this time in Queens. Two teens were arrested, but police are still trying to figure out which one was behind the wheel.
  9. Fodor's on NYC-area airports: "Pitiful. The only fix for these monstrosities is to rip them down and rebuild from scratch."

    I didn't know that Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in the pagan doctrine of the trinity, but it makes sense, since they base all their teachings on the bible,, not on false traditions of men. I'm glad to hear that!
