This is a disaster of a building. It is in such financially bad shape it should go into receivership. Anyone with half a mind is considering selling. Freaks and miscreants who eviscerate any decent people who would run make sure that the board is populated by a bunch of incompetant old fools that should be in a rest home, not running a major corporation. The super is the invisible man....gets paid a six digit salary and a FREE 3 bedroom apartment, and is never to be found. The porters fight amongst them selves, there was even an incident with a knife being pulled recently. The hallways and lobby are rotting under years of regret, spills and dog urine on the carpet. Cleaning public areas just DOESN'T happen here. You will pay 30% more on your maintenance here, for a building that looks like a cesspool. Meanwhile similar apartments with better finances are fetching 10-20% more in selling price because their maintenance is well controlled. Mind you that is money coming OUT of your pocket if you own or buy here. A sense of privelege and an attitude big enough to part the Red Sea is all it seems to take to be on the board here. If you know the right people and suck up to the right sleazeballs you seem to be able to write your own ticket. To hell with the board, and the entire management of this building. We could put a group of 6 year olds in charge of this building and it would be better off.

Carol turchin is hardly someone who should be preaching morality. Besides being a mother of 3 she was also a very sophisticated business woman. SO sophisistcated in fact that she was a defendant in a hugh securities fraud class action lawsuit in Manhattan in the late 90s where it was alleged that she, her hubby, and a few others cooked the books of the company she found with her husband and defrauded thousands of investors. Eventually the case was settled with Turchin's company paying a multimillion dollar payout to over 3000 investors.

Turchin is hardly one to talk about my 30 year old $265 misdemeanor conviction when her scandal involved 40 million dollars and thousands of very angry investors.
