I don't even like to think nature is weird .. it's just more imperfect then we like to think. Nature is never perfect and that's what others need to realize here. I always bring up my cousin who is disabled, born with out hearing, born unable to walk correctly .. nature is deffently not perfect .. and the brain is very very delicate in the stages of being in the womb.

There are many genders, there are females out there that like to perform male activities, who seem to have the same skills as a male would have. Or the is a male who has the skills like a female. Of course no one is exaclty the same and i do not beleive there is any female that is actaully 100% female, nor is there a male that is 100% male.

They have also done a few studies that have show that these things accure before the child goes through puberty of has any sexual contact. Matte of fact I am a MTF pre-op transgender and im still a virgin. Not ever even a kiss.

That right there is huge example that it has nothing to do with sexual contact or abuse as some conclude.

=^.^= well anyway I am done yabbering about.

I'm a transgendered woman, and I can vouch for the fact that it is extremely difficult to save enough money for the gender confirming surgery. Part of the reason for this is the rampant discrimination against trans folk. In these days of increased security a birth certificate with the origionally assigned gender cripples my ability to find work, to travel, and much more. I can't get a passport because my birth certificate doesn't match all the rest of my ID.

The belief that the genitalia one has defines what gender you are is simply incorrect. There is an increasing body of evidence that some trans folks simply have a brain that is organized as a different gender than their body. A possible cause of this may be the exposure of the fetus in early development to xenoestrogens, before the body has gendered itself.

I'm simply female. It would be nice if I could avoid a lot of the difficulties trans people face by having a birth certificate congruent with my gender.

It's not that humans are smarter than the laws of nature, it's that nature is far, far stranger than most of us realize.

Exactly, let them BE who they SAY they are. A birth certificate is just a piece of paper. It isn't going to change people's opinions.

Is this going to extend to other government issued ID like drivers licenses? I used my birth certificate to get my license.
