Did anyone at Domino's ask Brooklyn if this was okay? DId they have a tasting with Brooklynites to decide what "Brooklyn Style" is??

Hey, at least it's an improvement over their other pizza. And it's about time they admit where REAL pizza comes from. Still, if they expect us to believe that they're making the real deal, they're living in fantasy land. As for Domino's and their founder, he's not even there anymore. Give it a rest.

This goes to #9: Your not suppose to eat pizza with a knife& fork ! It's a classic finger food ! This goes to #14: What the hell is the difference if the founder of Domino's is a right winger ? Does it affect the way they make their pies? I don't think so, Please keep up with the subject at hand .

I stop eating pizza years ago ! They don't wear gloves when they handle the dough so I don't bother buying it anymore . I do agree that the Boro President should sue Domino's for the defamation . By the way, Papa John's pizza is nasty and that joint on Graham Avenue is dirty . Guess that's why the pizza's that much nastier there .

Papa John's - delicious chain pizza. It's a good pizza (not new york style by any means of course) to begin with...and throw in that garlic butter sauce with the peppers...holy shit I'm hungry now.

Why is everyone hating on big chain pizza? I live in Brooklyn, and unfortunately the "real" pizzerias close around 9pm in my neighborhood and then i am left with one choice for pizza...PAPA JOHNS, and that stuff is delicious. It's fast food pizza for sure, but it's fast, cheap as all hell (2 pizzas for like $12) and they stay open and deliver until 1-2am. The pizzas are hot, thick and crusty and sometimes I just crave it. They also come with that amazing garlic butter sauce...and believe me, that butter sauce is a little gift from heaven.

I agree with dude. I have yet to have a blow my socks off pizza in new york (i live in chicago). I know I'm going to the wrong places as the ones I've been to look like they are fronts for panda smuggling operations (simpsons joke!). In any case, there's lots of pizza options in new york and to stereotype the food and its people is dumb. Also has anyone made a joke about the "williamsburg" style pizza? You know, the one that made of all-organic foccacia with brie and caviar on top? I am so clever.

Most New York (including Brooklyn) sucks ass anyway. 90% of places use crappy cheese, watery sauce and crust that is essentially dough. Plus, many claim to be "Italian", but it's the same generic recipe cranked out by a staff of Mexicans and Romanians. I know there are a few good places out there, but most of them are eateries as opposed to the walk-in-walk-out-slice-in-hand spots, so I wouldn't bother defending them. I stopped supporting Domino's after I realized they gave money to pro-life groups (also when I realized their pizza blows).

Well the founder of Dominos is a conservative Roman Catholic who has funded some questinable groups, so ending sponsorship on SNL isn't a shock.

I haven't gotten a good pie at Totonno's EVERY time. Sometimes the crust tends to be burnt. As for Dominos, I yanked my patronage after THEY yanked their sponsorship of Saturday Night Live after a sketch aired they didn't like. Till then, though, I found their pies rather good. I'm not a snob about what pizza is New York-enough. I despise the Domino's ad campaign for the new Brooklyn pies. Not all New Yorkers talk like that. I think. www.forgotten-ny.com

I imagine the name "Brooklyn-Style" doesn't really mean that foldable slices are unique to the borough. It's probably just an attempt to differentiate from the awful "New York Style" pizzas that already show up around the country. You know, new bad imitation, new name. And calling it "Manhattan Style" or "Queens Style" probably wouldn't sell as well in flyover country. "Staten Island Style", though... now THAT'D be a marketing winner...

It is good that I didn't find these ads disturbing. Dominos isn't even pizza!. I'd call it a cheese and tomato bread product, but never pizza. If you are in stuck in a small midwestern town and it is the only pizza option it is better than no pizza, but any where in the five boroughs Dominos shouldn't even be an option. It also brings up the whole issue of foods named after places in order to evoke some legitimacy. They never are like the real thing!

Grew up in Queens and have lived in Manhattan for the last 5 years. I have always enjoyed the large floppy slices that I fold to eat. Brooklyn-style? Um ok. Guess I and pretty much most people I know who live in Queens and Manhattan are anamolies.
