HDR = High Dynamic Range. It is a special kind of digital image processing technique.

I actually think that that picture of NYC is rather beautiful. I like the colors a lot. It definitely contrasts the haze we often see surrounding our city.

Well, if the millionaires leave landmarks like the P&G Bar won't be so much in danger. It's obvious the millionaires living in this co-op would rather have something staid like a bank branch or maybe a Duane Reade, which is what would move in given what rents cost in the neighborhood. It's one thing when the real estate market destroys local character; it's another when the residents themselves try and engineer such changes...

The rich new yorkers will never leave en masse if the republicans are thrown out: Even with the tax burden, most of the rich will still find new york the best place to be for all of the culture and advantages it offers to people like them: The ability to network with other rich and powerful people, to be able to wine and dine at the best restaurants and to party at the hippest clubs. Some old money will leave, but most of the rich will remain.

The headline reads 'DEADLY' FRIGHT FOR POOR MILLIONAIRES. Are you freakin' kidding me? Poor millionaires? God, I could only be so lucky to be a poor millionaire; sadly, I'm just poor, period.

I'm starting to get HDR-itis.

It's an affliction causing itching and burning of the eyes every time one sees another cartoonish-colored HDR landscape picture, especially for images that are unremarkable or commonplace otherwise. It can be remedied by avoidance of HDR images and a return to viewing of normal single-exposure shots, especially those that aren't urban landscapes at sunset. Effective relief can also come from disassociating with all 1000+ HDR photo pools on Flickr - this tends to clear things right up for most patients.

Of course millionaires will leave. They'll all go abroad where they can continue to steal and plunder with impunity as they have been allowed to do under the Republican aegis.

White collar crime - what's that? It's only crime if someone uses physical force. Right?
