I've often wondered why I hadn't seen Adrienne Shelley in any mainstream movies - she had such an elfin beauty and was so talented. I am very upset to hear about her death - such a vicious end to a lovely actress. The unbelievable truth!

Cute, Adorable Adrienne. I fell in love with her after Trust. I actually modeled my choice in woman after her. I wish I had an opportunity to have meet her.

I would have to presume that "lil jimmy" did not actually mean "laugh out loud," but rather tried to use the letters to form the shape of someone's mouth being opened by shock. lol kind of looks like that. I hope that's what he tried to represent. Oh, and I don't think it's suicide. She seemed to have too much going for herself. It will be interesting to see what the police report finally shows.

I'm kinda ambivalent towards her. I had lots of friends who who enjoy hal hartley movies and were in some of them. Same kinda feeling I get with Joey lauren adams and rosanna arquette. sort of hipster actresses. oh well, sad that she off'ed herself in such a way.

Oh shit! I loved Trust when it came out. She was lucky to have worked with Hal Hartley before he got really terrible (I always considered the split to be right around Amateur). Simple Men is the best (even though she's not in that).... man, that's crazy she killed herself.
