"Staten Island residents apparently dread chemical spills and gas leaks." Yeah, because those never happen in SI. Love living on the island but the the "guinea gangplank" falling into the bay is probably my worst fear.

Whatever you do, don't go on a weekend. I took some vistors I had staying with me this past weekend on Saturday night to the one in the East Village. We ended up waiting on line for about an hour and half, being herded like cattle between the roped barriers. That whole experience really took the fun out of the whole thing. By the time I got inside I was so annoyed at having stood there for so long that my heart really wasn't in it anymore. I walked away thinking "that didn't scare me at all" and "that just wasn't worth it." The only plus was that there was a guy walking through the line selling beers. I did have some friends who went mid week and had a much better experience.
