Taku had genuinely great food, but it was just too expensive for me. It was about $15 for a bowl of udon, and considerably more for entrees. Hoepfully, they've learned that lesson...

Last week I was supposed to eat at minnow/bar minnow, and found that it has been closed by order of the health department.

Minnow was a great place for fresh, imaginatively prepared seafood. Bar Minnow was a great place for gastrointestinal disease.

We have had 2 good meals at Lunetta so far. The menu is inventive and reasonably priced, the wines are good and also not too expensive. The only complaints i have are that the chicken-stock based pasta dishes (same on the orichette. the pasta fagiole, and actually also the pork belly mentioned here) are all a little too similar. Love that ricotta bruschetta too.

Went to Lunetta with friends a couple weeks ago. Friend A orders a rye whiskey from the bar. Bartender says only have one rye, pours small glass. (Thirsty) Friend says make it a double. Asks how much? Bartender doesn't know. Bartender asks manager/chef, who says it's $20/shot. Friend looks at bartender like, what?!? Bartender says, gotta charge you. Friend pays $40. And THEN we sit down. Waitress makes separate trip for each item. Which we have to ask for. Oh, your soda? Be right back. Oh, your bread? Be right back. Etc. The food was good. The host (a brit/aussie) was nice.
