So we're using other people's money now? Okay, lets do everything we can, spare no expense! My job at the tire garage won't be affected!

Lets tear down the entire city to look for all of these bones. I want trump tower torn down piece by piece and sifted. I want every piece of trash that has left the city in the past 5 years to be brought back and sifted. This may cost a lot of money, but you have no idea how much the proper burial of my 5 year olds daddys finger will mean to him...

I see we got some experts here.
I've heard the location was West Street.

Despite reading the newspaper accounts I am a little unsure of the location of these manholes. An early Times story said "northwest corner" of the site and "below street level". Is that inside the fence but not in "the hole"? Is it in the hole? Near the footbridge?

And another article said they constructed a temporary road out of debris from "the pile". When did they stop using this road? Were these manholes considered to be abandoned by the utility companies?

Five Years?????
did the city think no one will find some more remains? This isn't about money, it's about poor leadership.

when two 110 story buildings collapse, bits and peices go flying for miles in every direction. Debris was falling across the harbor in Brooklyn. It is completely insane to expect to find all the remains, and anyone who is surprised that remains are still being found today is either a complete moron or a dishonest person bent on using the tragedy for personal gain. And that includes the families of the deceased, who benefit in no way from recovering a dried up bone fragment. If they feel they do, then that only means they need more therapy, not to sue the city.

I don't buy it.

Somebody knew they were gonna turn up remains outside of the area they searched...in fact, I'll bet that someone in a decision-making position had proof of this serious issue and was told that it was too expensive. Soon enough that person or group will come forward with proof. That's why Bloomy's backpeddaling.

Are you kidding me? Billions to find body parts of people we know are dead?? When is this nonsense going to stop? I believe someone last week summed this up best:

Didn't we pay these people millions of dollars to shut up?

I find all this baffling. Wasn't the site scraped "down to bedrock?" If anyone can explain to me where all these secret locations where leg bones are now being found are actually situated I'd love to know.
