the repubs will stop at nothing, will they? no wonder the american people can't abandon their party fast enough.
"the repubs will stop at nothing, will they? no wonder the american people can't abandon their party fast enough."
Like most people, you have a filter on when you read or watch the news.
i think that it's you who has the filter on. the repubs are expected to lose at least 20 seats in the house and 7 in the senate, and the polls aren't in their favor either.
here's a good excerpt from the ny times article on the atlantic yards:
"People who can afford very high housing prices have to be well off, and I would suspect that most of those new people would be white. I’m fearful of the neighborhood changing so much that we wouldn’t want to live here."
ahhh. racism. dont you love it?
iggy, not saying the Republicans aren't going to lose seats. I'm not even defending them. I take issue with your "the repubs will stop at nothing, will they?" crack. As if Democrats are so saintly.
It's about time New York started taking a clue from other states like Georgia and North Carolina and started forcing restaurants to post their sanitation grade with reasons for why they have the score. If patrons can see clearlyat the entrance what sort of conditions the restaurant allows, it would probably change some minds.
Come On!, I wasn't aware of laws like that. I'd love to see it in NYC. Is there a site that combines reviews and inspection reports?
I DoH inspections to be telling, but there's a lot missing from the picture. I'd love to see a place that combines the two, food reviews and opines the record and the reactions of the restaurant over time.
