<description>&lt;p&gt;These news stories always forget to take into account inflation, and the depreciation of the dollar.  If prices of everything else are going up, of course we will get $40 entrees.

Right now, there is no reason to pay $40 for an entree since you can have as good a meal at half that cost.  But I suspect there is a market in this city made up of people who like to be seen dropping that kind of money.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;It&apos;s a free market; people will pay what they can afford to pay. I personally prefer a restaurant where I don&apos;t have to pay for an amazing dining room (think, Butter). There are too many places where you can eat amazing food for $25 to justify experimenting with the $40 entrée. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
