This Just In: The Rolling Stones to Play Beacon Theater

Remember that 60th birthday party for Bill Clinton that the Rolling Stones are playing at in October? Well Product Shop NYC is reporting that "In order to get tickets for the Stones’ at the Beacon Theatre in New York on October 29th and 31st, you have to enter a lottery".

The lottery can be entered here. We're not even huge Rolling Stones fans, but could you imagine seeing them play to 2000 people on Halloween night? Seems like it would be pretty unforgettable.

Check out the above clip of The Stones playing NYC in 1969.

It sounds awesome. I've known about it for a while, it's for Bill Clinton's Birthday bash thing. I heard another way to get in was to donate to the democratic party. I went over to the Beacon a few weeks ago and was told that it was impossible to get tickets.

Way to go, more cutting edge reportage from Gothamist! This has only been announced FOR MONTHS NOW and has been on the ROlling Stones site for almost that long.

But, oh, I forgot. The Stones are, like, you know, OLD, and, um, stuff.

ASSHOLES. THESE SHOWS ARE FOR FANS. NOT FOR HIPSTER FUCKS WHO THINK IT WOULD BE FUN TO SEE THE STONES IN A THEATER. Aren't Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah playing somewhere that night?
