Is it idiot night on the comment board?? First, people seem to have missed that there is a difference between Ssam late-night and Ssam daytime.
I've eaten there several times and 1) its not too salty 2) the prices aren't cheap, but its definitely not out of line with other late-night higher-end food (Blue Ribbon, Mas) 3) the prices aren't cheap because they're using things like Berkshire pork and small Southern ham producers, rather than, say, the unspeakable slop you'll get in Chinatown pork buns. 4) they're serving dishes like grilled sweetbreads, veal head terrine, grilled sardine sandwiches, etc...If you want to spend $9 at 1am and be full, got to Taco Bell or the plethora of substandard cheap food places in the Evill. You're missing the point...

this place is a rip off. $9-13 and still hungry...c'mon...and the food is WAY too salty...the original noodle bar is great (if you can get in).
they should swap the 2 places, otherwise, this place is closed in a year...
and whats up with the nike ad in the back corner...thats so cheesy...

this comment is dumb, i know. i just can't resist the thought of seeing junior high school kids (and plenty of "adults" too for that matter) giggling and saying,

"mama-fuck-you"

change the name pehaps?
