To anyone crying about CBGB, I suggest reading this piece from NY Press, written back before there was any official closing date.
This just highlights that whoever is the next lucky tenant is doomed to decades of pilgrimages to the CBGBs site and almost certain vandalism/grafitti/loitering (I'm imagining like Jim Morrison's grave). Hopefully they'll be prepared and not get all huffy about it.
