SNL Does CBGB

CBGB will soon be closed, and as an homage - SNL ran a short this past weekend. As we mentioned before, it was as a part of their New York Stories segements.

Whether the parody is funny or just sad, one must appreciate Fred Armisen portraying Lou Reed.

  • snl's turn.

speaking of new york institutions going the way of the buffalo, can we get rid of saturday night live too? IT ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE.

  • REALITY CHECK

Tim, they aren't making fun of the time period, they're making fun of the people who constantly say the same things over and over and over again about they way the Bowery used to be. (My apartment was $2/month, there used to be XYZ place there, I saw Dee Dee shoot up on that corner, etc etc etc).

  • I hate to see this time made fun of, since I lived through it, but damn this is funny. P-A-C-O- PACO!

  • It is very pity that you cannt emeil news. I have waited this for so long :(
