Attention All NYC MILFs

2006_10_hotmoms.jpg

Yes, we wrote MILF, because that seemed the best way to approximate the call for women to participate in the Hottest Mom in America auditions. Uh huh - hot moms in the NYC area will get to strut their stuff this Saturday at the NYC auditions. The search for the Hottest Mom in America is for some sort of reality competition. It's being cast in Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta and LA as well, though we think the NYC competition will be pretty stiff. And the prizes are $25,000 in cash, $25,000 in scholarship money for a child, and being the spokeswoman for Restylane (it's a wrinkle-filler-in or something)! In the words of Chicagoist, it's a sending your kid into years of therapy is a small price to pay if you can be the Hottest Mom in America.

The auditions are on Saturday, starting at 8AM at Shetler Studios in Midtown West. But, be warned: Chicagoist noticed this sentence in the release - "I…understand that my appearance, depiction and/or portrayal in the program may be disparaging, defamatory, embarrassing or of an otherwise unfavorable nature, which may expose me to public ridicule, humiliation or condemnation.”

Restylane is not really like Botox. Just sayin.

Elmo - you're right - I was mistaken. Will update. But it does help fight wrinkles, I think.

what a sick concept. hey kids, your mom's a wannabe ho! everybody in america is judging her fuckability! yay!

on deck: hottest pregnant chick in america. now, *that's* reality mysogny for 'ya, oh yeah. i can't wait.

oops: misogyny... you know what i meant....

Yay, she can still be a mom AND be objectified too! It's a win-win.

"I…understand that my appearance, depiction and/or portrayal in the program may be disparaging, defamatory, embarrassing or of an otherwise unfavorable nature, which may expose me to public ridicule, humiliation or condemnation.”

Holy shit.

That's just wrong. It's something like this that makes me wish women all over the nation would simply just not show up. That's just wrong. No one should be treated poorly for the sake of entertainment. The levels people will stoop to for a little attention are astounding. We don't treat our women very well here sometimes. Sure, it's a personal decision to go but the fact that they're even trying something like this, using a warning such as this one, it's just deplorable.

Isn't the reality TV fad over yet?

how is the winner not Angelina Jolie automatically? Oh, right, she lives in Africa.

"The levels people will stoop to for a little attention are astounding. We don't treat our women very well here sometimes."

thats all well and good if you are only accountable to yourself. go ahead and subject yourself to objectificatio and possible humiliation. i have no problem with that. whats disgusting here is that these women have KIDS.

Well, it seems fair to note that while this is a reality show that happens to focus on women, all reality TV probably makes participants sign such a waiver these days. (What show does *not* ever portray people in a negative light?)

It is difficult to image how this show could actually be made interesting, though, beyond a one-off pageant-type thing. Yeah, OK, they are hot, so what?

$25k cash and $25k scholarship for one of the kids? That's kind of lightweight, man... I guess the free Botox or whatever is nice, but a MILF shouldn't need it.

And some 21 year old chick with a kid isn't really a MILF even though is one technically. She's got to be more like Stifler's mom age -- 40s, maybe maybe early 50s.

skanks not getting enough attention because they've been traded in by their husbands for a an updated & younger version.

Even more disgusting: I actually saw a little girl (about 9 years old) in my neighborhood a couple of months ago walking around in a t-shirt that said 'Future MILF.' Sick, sick, sick.

The woman on the left is ok but do the 3 women on the right have a chance at winning this "competition"? If they do, it doesn't say much for the quality of MLF they are looking for.

Ewwww.....

Actually there are much better images on my site than the one Gothamist picked out...
Check em out and let me know what you guys think...
