Back in April Gawker reported that the 126 Rivington kids (the ones the NY Times wrote about earlier in the year) would indeed be filming a show. A Melrose Place of the Lower East Side, complete with real life "star" and neighbor Piper Perabo.
Well last night, just outside of The Magician on Rivington Street, there were a ton of camera crews, prop tables, and whatever else it takes to create yet another reality tv show. When we asked, we were told it was an HBO show filming the lives of residents on the street. Almost makes us want to subscribe to HBO. Almost. Okay, not really.
Has anyone else seen filming for this going on? Here are some pictures that were taken of 126 back when the article was written.

Wow, I have the opposite reaction...It makes me want to cancel my subscription to HBO.
Kill all hipsters!!!!
People pay for HBO?
These people are not even hipsters, nor are they 'kids', they are like in their mid-30s and LAME.
I know they did some shooting in June--an "art opening" at some enormous/shitty club on the Bowery. I don't know what happened after that.
Thank you neighbor. I was going to comment on the age of these folks. Now that I know what all the trucks are for, I might egg them. Just for fun. Nothing malicious.
hey neighbor...clearly you dont know anyone in the building...so keep your lame and incorrect opinions to yourself...
yea!! they are NOT all in their mid-thirties!!
