To consider eating raw seafood prepared in a NYC alleyway, one basically must be drunk. The Stone Street Oyster festival is one of the best annual events all year. It was great when it was further uptown, but the Stone St. location only adds to the ambiance. Highly recommended.

$10 for half-dozen oysters, $6 for drink tickets

That's a little steep for an oyster festival. The best in the land comes October 13-16th in Wellfleet, MA. $1 oysters and $3 beers.
