I have modeled for Dan a few times in the past. He is a very professional and talented photographer. I am glad that I had the opportunity to know and work with him and I am sure that other models would say the same.

Anybody who knows Dan would say that he is a great friend who would go out of his way to help those in need.

It amazes me that your company was the 'gold standard' in computer services yet you think you can somehow trace anonymous postings on some random web site. Hmmm, let me get another coffee from Starbucks and post this using their 'free' wireless service. Isn't technology GREAT?! No static IP address. I guess you haven't managed to keep up with the times. How's that business doing anyway? I hope you sold out before you completely lost it. And I suppose the lack of bragging about how your lawyers have nabbed the 'libelous' thenewyorkguy means you can't trace him. Hmmmmm... Libel is the correct terminology by the way danny boy. Slander is oral defamation. thenewyorkguy clearly wrote his or her seemingly informed opinion of you. Anyone who uses both slander and libel to describe the same act is clearly ignorant. And also, by the way, since you, danny boy, clearly stated above that thenewyorkguy slandered and libeled you, I am totally and legally priviledged to say that you are ignorant since you don't know the difference between the two simple notions, and that is the definition of ignorant. Ask your lawyers. Look how far that's taken you in this futile effort. And you've paid your lawyers $200,000 to pursue this? If I was as (seemingly) wealthy as you, I could think of at least 10,000 better things to do with $200,000 than make myself feel better about not making as much as I would have liked on a simple real estate transaction. And just between you and me, I wouldn't brag about that. I don't know who you think you are, or why you think anyone would care about your 'horrendous' ordeal, beyond the sensational aspect to it, as the author has mentioned above, but having a mental health background, I would strongly suggest seeking professional help. Someone pooping in your closet should not cause 'post traumatic stress disorder'. Good luck convincing a jury of that.

Hi 32:

Quick question. You don’t have the guts to reveal yourself. I am sure you don’t as cowards are a dime a dozen. I hope for your sake you had the brains to use an untraceable e mail address. If you did not, you're in a world of shit.

No one is shaking down the poor Baron Warburg. You are obviously an insider and you are only making things much harder on yourself, him and this dysfunctional under regulated organization.

Do you have a single person I have worked with that will back up your story regarding your slanderous comments? If not I will hold you libel. And you do not, because you are a lying sack of shit.

I didn’t try to produce a mob made movie. I did.

Now asshole lets discuss the facts:

Peter’s deposition stated that he and many of his underlings knew Johnson was having mental problems. In other words, this should have been prevented. I need not have walked into this "beam me up Scotty" god knows what induced insanity.

I was no longer welcome in my building. Peters, who could have easily rectified these issues, decided "that she was an independent contractor." And as such is not responsible. Not according to the IRS! And that’s irrelevant, because my contract was with Warburg.

If I was extorting Warburg, then why does he not agree to binding arbitration? I asked him for this on several occasions. He won’t agree because he knows I will win. I don’t want his cash; I want my day in court.

I have sent $200,000 on just trying to get my day in court in front of a jury. However, in fours year, not a single deposition, has been completed. Their attorneys have put off discovery for 2.5 years.

I have fought an extremely gentlemanly fight. Now you will see the gloves come off. That will shake your world! There will be huge reform in your dysfunctional industry.

This is not just about money. When I am done there will great change in the way the brokerage of real estate will take place. So that people do not have to worry about having their homes being destroyed by alleged "reputable companies that stand their broker.” NOT!

Pal, you haven’t seen anything yet. I will set the standard for this candy ass industry. I did it in the computer service industry where for 15 years my company was the gold standard.

Now back to you. I come from the school of thought that you should not hide behind a cowardly identity. On Monday, my lawyers will be all of this. If I track you down…..

God help you,

Danny Boy

Warburg nor Julie make any money on this deal. Dan used another company to sell the apartment. Julie is a very sweet woman who did have some problems, but nothing like what has been written about in the media.

Dan is using the media and web to distribute this story in an attempt to extort money from Warburg. This is because, his attempts in the court system have failed. So now this multi-millionaire is trying to destroy this woman’s life and reputation so he can justify why he did not sell his apartment for what he wanted.

Some days, he thinks he is a mob movie producer. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0338497/

Other days, he finds young woman to come to his house and pose nude.

http://www.onemodelplace.com/photographer_list.cfm?P_ID=17848

And girls, If you don’t give in to his advances, he goes ballistic!

Yes this is a typical New York story. A deranged rich sociopath that beats up on young woman, in order to put pressure on her employer to win a legal case.

I feel sorry for him and any one that comes in contact with him.

Dan is a sick and dangerous individual. Beware!

Warburg's commission is 4-6%. That means $40,000 to $60,000 on a $1M sale! A lot of people would say that's a lot of money for Warburg's efforts--even if they had handled this situation in a professional manner (which they did not).

Surely their clients deserve better service for the amount of money they pay.

I am familiar with the case and know both the main parties mentioned in the news reports. The Warburg Realty firm is disavowing responsibility, saying that Ms. Johnson was solely liable for her actions and that they share no responsibility, as she is alleged to be an “independent contractor.” This is not only ridiculous but bad for business and bad for the United States. This is exactly what LIABILITY INSURANCE is for. Should Ms. Johnson have suddenly left the area, quit the Warburg firm or been committed to a mental hospital--in the midst of the term of the listing, Dan still had a contract with Warburg Realty, that they would seek to enforce. When properties get sold, the Warburg firm accepts the full commission and distributes the correct share to the various employees. When advertising is done, it’s the Warburg firm that makes those decisions and risks the investment of the cost of the ad space. In every possible way, the Warburg firm is the primary contractor. For them to disavow liability would be the same as if a doctor who removes the wrong kidney gets to cast the blame (and sole liability) on the admissions clerk, for misspelling the patients name. This is yet another example of the super-rich becoming super-powerful at everyone else’s expense. Lastly, FYI, my few encounters with Ms. Johnson were not pleasant. I have found her to be immature, self absorbed and far too “beautiful” to be addressed as an equal by the likes of myself. People should not feel sorry for her poor, ruined reputation. Dan was devastated by this event and while some people might not have taken it so hard, its really difficult to be certain how any given person might react, unless they lived through it. He was single with a small family and therefore a limited support network. He comes home to find this hysterical woman in the midst of ‘giving birth’ to “Rosemary’s Baby”. Over the next few days, the other tenants of the building (Dan’s neighbors) are getting together and beginning the process of kicking him out. A stronger person might have experienced less emotional stress. But insurance is meant to safeguard the weakest of victims.

I understand the real estate community is somewhat up in arms over this event. It really isn't good for the industry.

The article in the Post covered maybe 5 percent of the factual information (and the sensational and irrelevant 5 percent at that.)

I am one of the few people who are entitled to have an opinion, not because I may have suffered, but because I know the facts. With all due respect, you all do not.

It is appalling that the New York Post printed Ms. Johnson's name and terribly misguided that her image was exploited. In the law suit, she is not mentioned by name, only as Jane Doe. She is not being sued. Do not hold the journalist responsible. Journalists report to editors and so on and so forth. (This is only my opinion.)

Making fun of this or her is despicable and cowardly.

The truth is not on my side, but it will be shortly. And Ms Johnson's name will be restored.

Yea, but like any demonic/black magic you conjure up you will eventually pay a heavy price (at least that's what happen in those Vicent Price movies). As it so happens it cost the owner that $500k. I guess that's what having Beelzebub as your real estate agent will cost. He ain't going for 6%.

I don't understand how the incident could cause the value to drop by $500k from market value. It seems like you would clean up the damage, fire your broker, hire a new one and sell the apartment for market value. The incident may have scared a few potential buyers, there may be costs involved with clean up and it may have taken longer to sell the place by having to do all of that, but 500k seems like a lot of value to lose from one incident.

and i thought my broker from brown, harris stevens was bad when i tried to sell my place. he just refused to ever have open houses and never returned my calls. and then just quit one day. he actually made me show my own place once because he wanted to go out of town that day.

i guess i should consider myself lucky!

I actually worked at Warburg Realty for over a year and assisted the top brokers. Julie Johnson was one of the brokers I worked for. The incident happened before I started working there. She is actually a very sweet person, though she did have some problems and would get really stressed easily.

I can't stand Warburg. I'm glad they are getting negative press.

To the commenter who hypothesized that these agents should be tested for drug use....it's my understanding that cocaine (among other drugs) fuels the real estate industry.

Wow. This woman is clearly mentally ill - I feel kind of sorry for her. I'd imagine Warburg would have paid for just about everything just to keep this hush-hush.

Even with those problems, us guys like em crazy.
and, running around naked and screaming??
That's standard operating procedure for crazy girls.
for some reason, the girls I know who are crazy would strip and go nutso. Like it's punishment for us if they strip naked. uh, no, we like em naked.
Must be Daddy issues.

Bizzare story. Maybe real estate companies should start testing their sales associates for drugs just like many other companies do.

Anyhow, if this happened way back in 2003, why does Warburg Realty still have her listed on its website? (Warburg praises her "astonishing energy".)
