Pencil This In
READINGS: Another double-bill this week at the 92nd Street Y - Janet Fitch (White Oleander, and her new novel, Paint it Black) and A.M. Holmes (The Safety of Objects, This Book Will Save Your Life) are reading from new work tonight, introduced respectively to the stage by Will Allison and Ben Marcus. Plus, the under-35 gets a limited number of tickets for just ten dollars. - Krissa Corbett Cavouras
8pm // 92nd Street Y [E. 92nd St at Lexington] // $18 [$10 if you're under 35]
THEATER: "I {Heart} Kant" examines the disorderly lives of four New Jersey women, one of whom has been struggling with her dissertation on Immanuel Kant for years. Their four separate stories unfold on stage simultaneously, with one male actor dashing between their worlds to play multiple roles. Called “obscenely funny” by the L.A. Times, the play also features a stuffed cat in the role of faculty advisor. - John Del Signore
8pm // Linhart Theater @ 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette Street, 3rd Floor

MUSIC: As we mentioned last week, Sunset Rubdown is at Bowery for their 2nd consecutive night, but if you caught Krug & co last night, maybe you want to head over to Hammerstein. The Flaming Lips headline, but get there early for Danielson (today's interview subject!) Last time we saw the Lips we were on stage dressed as an owl, this time we'll be enjoying the show in our regular clothes.
8pm // Hammerstein Ballroom // $40
COMEDY: Weekly comedy show, Tell All Your Friends, celebrates the big ONE tonight. There to help celebrate the past year are: Christian Finnean, Liam McEneaney, the O'Debra Twins and The Hazzards. Get there early for a seat (we think these are held in the, smaller, downstairs).
8pm // Lolita [266 Broome St] // Free

That pic looks eerily like the Sexual Harassment Panda from "South Park."
