Gifford Miller was a big defender of the Upper East Side's right to send their trash to other states/neighborhoods without absorbing so much as a little dump truck traffic. But that was a long time ago, I can't believe it has taken this long for someone to call out the yuppies!

Why is it that the diverse New York that you're all so fond of doesn't have room for tax-paying upper middle-class wage earners? Affected East Siders will move to Connecticut or Westchester or someplace else because they can afford to, whereas without their tax dollars schools will get worse and streets will get dirtier and less safe because there will be less money to pay for municipal services. Who will be suffering then?

I pay my taxes and the poor uses it! If I want to dump my sh1t there, I will! I pay for it anyway!
