Yesterday, President Bush arrived in New York City for September 11 anniversary rites. He and First Lady Laura Bush went to Ground Zero to lay memorial wreaths at the reflecting pools in the World Trade Center's footprints. They also visited a firehouse near Ground Zero and attended a memorial service at St. Paul's Chapel. Mayor Bloomberg, Governor Pataki, and former Mayor Giuliani, who all accompanied the Bushes to Ground Zero, were also at the memorial, as were Senators Schumer and Clinton. The Bushes will be visiting a firehouse on Pitt Street this morning in the city and will later travel to Shanksville, Pennsylvania where United Flight 93 crashed. Then, at 9PM, the President will be in the White Houes and will address the country at 9PM.

morris street?
are you sure you don't mean "murray"?
i know, i know – all the jewish names sound alike.
Very creepy image. Very creepy people. The image of a descent is apt.
Every year it's the same. The bagpipes. The reading of the names, and the laying of the wreaths.
It's five years on.
It's time to build a memorial, rebuild the ground zero area, and get on with things.
That would be the best tribute possible to the people who died and those who tried to rescue them.
All this wallowing, year after year, does no one any good.
Perhaps it's time to quit playing politics with September 11th, 2001...
Kevin Walsh: Good point. However, I don't get the impression that they want you to remember. I think they are doing this so that you don't find out what really went wrong that day.
Notice in New York when they celebrate the Twin Towers, they don't memorialize the Pentagon. There was no plane that hit the Pentagon as they told us. How did the government know that a third plane was headed for the White House? Why is it that one plane was coincidentally forced out of the sky.
Why is it that the victims were dumped in a landfill instead of being given to their families for burial. Very few families received remains.
Something is rotten in Denmark.
Wish I could be there today.
Note the conspicuous absence of Schumer and HRC from the photo op. They were at the memorial but they're not pictured? This event is supposed to transcend politics; I have no interest in watching a bunch of Republicans wallowing in our artificially prolonged grief.
Notice anything funny? No Democrats in that picture. Apparently, Clinton and Schumer weren't invited.

The mere presence of the 9/11 Whore makes all of this a little tougher to take (if that's possible).
Ha! Like they say the crimianal always returns to the scene of the crime.
Kevin made a great point.
The politics involoved in 9/11 disgusts me.
Come the sixth anniversary of 9/11 will most likely be the same as this year.
I just don't have anything to say , but shrug. So it goes. Not much on my mind recently. I can't be bothered with anything recently.
