Yes, the variety of beers at bodegas have increased however so has the prices on ALL beer as well. Bodegas were suppose to be places were you could get the staples of life at reasonable prices but as neighborhoods have become too wealthy, the good prices have fled. Too bad, cant have cake and eat it too....

Lindeman's is terrible--it tastes like it was created for small children and is far too sweet. You can find far better lambics out there.

"Beer: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems."

Better idea for your friend - have him contribute his ashes to the establishment for a special "spice" concoction.

Duvel: (the only beer that matters)

A snow white souffle of a head explodes from the bottle - be prepared. The smell is of orange-lemon icing. At 8.5% it is the lightest in strength as well as colour.

One the mouth, there is some orange peel and a milky rather than creamy effect from the yeast. A hint of gold delicious apple.

The hops are the most subdued and it is the least malty - finesse. Lots of lacing are left in the glass and a decent foam remains at the end when I might be tasting passion-fruit and maybe faintness of nutmeg.

Now that's good beer!!!!!
