The VMA's Were Back in New York

Last night (or rather, yesterday at 4 in the afternoon) we headed over to the tiny spot that was given to us on the (way end of the) red carpet for MTV's Video Music Awards. The awards were back in NYC this year, and brought a whole lotta Hollywood with them.

We stood next to Scott, who held a sign that said "The Internet", and eventually, some of the celebs came by to chat.

More of our photos here (unfortunately our camera battery died towards the end of the red carpet). Afterwards, we picked one afterparty to attend and headed over to Gotham Hall for Cee-Lo's bash. A 30 minute wait in line later, we were in and watching The Rapture perform while drinking free wine. A nice way to spend the night after spending 4 hours hunched in the press pen at the red carpet. Around 2am Cee-Lo took the stage with a ton of folks and sang "Crazy" and a few other songs, we also recall MIA being up there performing while Diplo spun some tunes. Good times, but we're tired and glad it's over (and next time we won't wear heels).

Photos of the afterparty here.
