Two Staten Island Children Found Dead in Tub

A strange and sad case is unraveling in Staten Island. A mother returned home to find her 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter dead in a dry bathtub. Their father had been in charge of watching the children while the mother worked at a nursing home. And this morning, the Staten Island Advance reports that the husband killed himself by jumping in front of a northbound Q train in Manhattan Brooklyn.

Update: The Advance has a more updated article on the story. Apparently when the police arrived to the house, the mother was taken away in handcuffs and questioned.

so yeah he deserves to rot in hell, he intentionally drowned them, and no he wasn't white.

  • Chel

well if it was accidental drowning or something, it's still the dad's fault for not supervising the children.

OOOOR he was a scumbag. Odds seem about 50-50 to me.

    dirk,

    you're a douche.

did you ever think that maybe it was a horrible accident and that the father killed himself because of his unimaginable guilt and grief?

    Staten Island, you say?

tis a shame, it was a white family, too.

So the husband killed the kids and then himself? If that's the case I hope he rots in hell.

Oh, my God! They re-routed us to Newkirk because somebody was on the tracks right around that time. Incredibly, incredibly sad - the whole thing.

  • It was actually the Church Avenue station in Brooklyn where the father jumped in front of the train. The entire station was closed and trains were disrupted around 9:30 last night due to a "police investigation". This must have been what was going on. Sad stuff.

I live around the corner from there. It was bizarre because I hadn't heard anything about it until this morning when I walked out of my house at 6:30 and found a swarm of media there. That's the first time I have ever witnessed that first hand. What a bunch of vultures.
