-- We went down to Williamsburg and took a panorama of the Banksy wall, in case you want to see the whole piece.
-- "Yes, I know I have a nice ass."
-- The city has spruced up the 9-11 temporary morgue tent outside the medical examiner's office on East 29th Street. The tent stores the 13,790 human remains that have yet to be identified (accounting for about 1,151 people, or 42% of the victims,) as well as a small chapel.
-- Yikes-- trees in Park Slope have started fighting back against their yuppie oppressors!
-- The New Yorker hit the Not for Tourists Queens party-- and our friends at MyOpenBar also got a mention. You can get the NFTQ book at Amazon.
-- Tricia Romano reports on the Chelsea Clubland Police State, but indications are strong that Imette's Law isn't working: ""Any fool can get this [bouncer's] license. The way I look at it, it's just another way for the city to make money." "
-- What's the deal with this helper dog statue on 23rd Street?
-- Gigantic Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo is opening "container stores" around NYC-- they'll operate from Labor Day through October, when the humungously large SoHo store debuts.
-- A 63-year old man was stabbed to death right outside Columbia Pres Hospital yesterday-- the killing occured at 2pm, when the victim refused to give up his wallet.
-- Looks like the political tide around the Atlantic Yards is starting to shift: first Marty Markowitz called for size reductions, and now David Yassky has come out in favor of reducing the scale of the project.

Ironic Sans put together this cool multiple shot of the Agassi/Pavel match yesterday-- but he didn't say how he made it.

Boo hoo hoo for the problems of the so-called Night Life. These a**hole club owners only have their own greed to blame for their "problems." It is utter BS for these club owners to claim ignorance of under-age female patrons. They encourage this shite. Let them open up in New Jersey. That will make it an easier commute for their under-age patrons. It will also ensure that New Jersey puke stays in New Jersey.

There's another statue of a helper dog just like that around Metrotech. Alas, I have no excuse for that one either.
