THEATER: The end of the Fringe Festival draws near, and the dilemma sharpens: what should you not miss? Of the shows that are still on, a good bet is Chris Harcum's http://www.chrisharcum.com/ Some Kind of Pink Breakfast, a solo comedy (but multi-character) with music by Debby Schwartz that melds '80's songs and movies with events from his own experiences, making for a hilarious yet poignant retro performance that should be a perfect way to end this year's festival. - Mallory Jensen

FILM: "The City's first solar-powered Green Energy, Arts, and Education Center,"Solar One airs The Water Underground this weekend. This is CUP's recent film about water and sewage in New York City. Sounds lovely.

Saturday // 9pm // 2420 FDR Drive, Service Road East // Free

MUSIC: We mentioned that Ted Leo was playing the Seaport Music Festival tonight. Be sure to get there early for Tokyo Police Club. There's no better way to transition yourself into the weekend.

Friday // 7pm // Pier 17 // Free

Saturday Todd P brings another stellar lineup to another off the beaten path venue. Oneida and Black Dice rock Studio B, along with some deejays. And since rocking is sometimes less fun when it's hot and humid, we should mention this joint has a/c.

Saturday // 9pm // 259 Banker St @ Calyer | Greenpoint/Williamsburg, Brooklyn // $8

Sunday Sunday Sunday! McCarren Park Pool will once again be filled with everything but water. The lineup: The Walkmen, Dr. Dog, Human Television and Elvis Perkins.

And of course, there will be some slip n' slide and dodgeball served up as well.

2 to 8pm // McCarren Park Pool // Free
