What's worse: (i) the food (and drink*) writers' writing, (ii) their overarching ignorance about food (and drink*, as the case may be) or (iii) their inability to distinguish adequate food writing from re-writing public relations missives (or the ever popular, hey i'm gonna write about that place cause (a) i know the chef, (b) all my friends go there or (c) they give me free food? *Except fo Tamara what's her name.

This is possibly the worst sentence I have ever read. I don't even understand what it is trying to say. And did you mean antIdote? Even if you did, it makes no sense in the sentence...
