The explosive liquids mentioned would require 12-36 hours of cure time and are too dangerous to mix in an airplane loo and far to sophisticated for even some laboratories. The word is propaganda and BS. Something must be done about the lies and deceit. Something must be done about the fear mongering and destruction of civil rights. The victims are the citizens. "There is no spoon".

Am I allowed to have saliva in my mouth when boarding a plane or taking the subway ..or is spit also considered a 'liquid'?. Also, if it is can I spit it into a cops face when asked to "surrender all liquids"? Gimme a freakin' break. Maybe the next step would be for terrorists to swallow capsules of nitroglycerin. Then after that attack, all airline passengers would have to void their bowels before boarding planes. Or at least submit to X-rays every time, allowable radiation exposure be damned. This stupid government is letting the terrorists win. We're living in terror, exactly as the terrorists want us to. What we need to do as a people and a nation is stand up and say we'd be angry and saddened over any victims of attacks, but we're not going to change one single way we live life and there's nothing they can do to us. If they spent as much effort trying to help each other as trying to blow themselves up, the Middle East would be the jewel-like envy of the world.

Yeah, not to be picky but water on airplane and also Amtrak bathrooms is NOT the same and NOT safe to drink. If it is not marked outright as 'non potible' you should STILL think twice. There are many well documented cases about people getting very sick because the bacteria in the water is way over the allowed amount. I also remeber several news items alerting people to this in the past.

I don't think I've ever taken a water bottle with me on an airplane. "Like OMG, I cannot live without my Poland Spring bottled water!" Is it so bad to ask the FA for a drink, or drink BEFORE the flight? Lighten up people. Whats wrong with bringing an empty cup and filling up in the bathroom??? Water is water.

This is ridiculous. On our flight back to NY the other day, my boyfriend accidently forgot to take his contact lens solution out of his backpack and it went under the xray machines unnoticed. Not to mention anyone could buy a soda by the gate and place in his or her backpack.
