Does anyone else see the irony in a bunch of people leaving derisive comments about blogs and bloggers... on a blog?

Or is it just me.

Ugh. Bloggers are surely groaning (and blogging) about this. Then they'll go see it with a small, exclusive group of blogger friends, touching themselves (Pee Wee Herman style) @ the mention of their blog or someone's blog in their blog clique. (Ooh I almost typed "cliche." How Freudian!)
Well, I have some blogger friends that are not so bad. At least they are creative types.
REALITY CHECK, sleeping with a blogger is always an option; don't date them. Just don't let them photograph you. Cause you'll also wind up on their flickr, You Tube, & MySpace accounts, too..

Fortunately, I don't rely on blog stats or comments for love. :-)

Yes, please come on down and give it a chance. Kottke and Meg are as good as any sitcom - seriously. There's also a pink unicorn, a near-suicide, and a BBC blogger's very bloody foot. What more could you possibly want?

Next up: a sitcom about bloggers.

I can see the meeting at NBC at which a blogger pitches the show to executives.

Blogger: "It's just like life. You eat. You blog. You sleep. You blog."
Executive: "You blog? You blog on TV? Well why are people watching it?"
Blogger: "Because it's on TV."
Executive: "Not yet."

I'm with you REALITY CHECK...

I'd bet the only people who will watch this movie will be people with blogs, with the vain hope that their blog will be mentioned. A movie about bloggers blogging? Doesn't get much more meta than that.

If they were really cool, they would have just posted it as a quicktime on their blog... and blogged about how meta it is... then pouring over and over their webstats and comments to see if they really are loved.

Wow, this looks like a real snooze fest. And if that trailer is any indication, the production values stink.

Blog that.

Bloggers weird me out. Ever try and date a blogger? They'll post pictures of you and write about you without your knowledge or permission. You had better not break up with them, because they'll fucking write all about it in their goddamned blog.

To be fair, the documentary was made more than two years ago, when blog's weren't quite so top-of-mind.
