Cell phone use was a big issue where I used to work. The entertainment biz, I'm sure it's hard to control in the news biz, too. In the end, we couldn't reconcile all the past due accts and just offered a figure and settled it. It's amazing every employee felt there job is so important that they needed a cell phone AND that the company should pay for the entire bill. thank God, the Concorde is no more. but whatever, you're important, we know that.

This was an issue when I interned at the Council several years ago as a college student. I don't think the Post is being partisan (can't believe that I just wrote that) by singling out Democratic members for unnecessary expenses--only 3 of the 51 council members are Republicans.
