Who the hell wears flip-flops to a bank robbery? That's so 1996. Seriously, though, I can hardly think of worse footwear for such a situation (save maybe for high heels). What if you had to run away from the cops? Sneakers would be a much better choice, I think.

If they meant leggings, then there's nothing stylish about looking Bedford Ave. circa 2003. If they're normal black stretchies, then - along with the very normal description and pic of "Clyde" - these are normal white NYC kids. Of course, white people robbing banks is probably beyond the Post's reckoning - but that doesn't make them either hipsters, preppies or even interesting. As for the 10-year-old - mazeltov! Start 'em young I say!
