- Manatee mania (or in our case, Missing the Manatee Mania) - he was spotted up by Sleepy Hollow and he's "massive"
- A Brooklyn Little League team vows to win the championship game in honor of their teammate who was killed after their last game
- If there's a movie called World Trade Center opening this Wednesday, then you must coordinate fundraising direct mail with that!
- We don't get it - $815,000 for a West Village carriage house and there aren't even doorways to the bathrooms?
- Hmm, New York magazine's images for its Atlantic Yards story is very similar to what onnyturf did a while back
- The Tri-State Transportation Campaign slams New York City's streets: so-called ‘greatest city in the world’ doesn’t even have decently-paved streets, let alone cutting edge transportation features like bus rapid transit, neighborhood traffic calming plans or bicycle-friendly avenues ...yeah, that sounds about right
- Beautiful panoramic shots of some iconic places, such as Grand Central and Economy Candy

And Blaise K is so right: The dog in her photograph is good

Ok, that picture has me confused. Do you think that Dubya is a doofus (Chimp McHitler) or an evil mastermind (the Devil incarnate)? Make up your minds already.

Ok, Im confused. Do you guys think that Dubya is a doofus (Chimp McHitler) or an evil mastermind (the Devil Incarnate)?

BTW. As New Yorkers, are you excited about the thought of a President Giulani?

go manatee!
don't let the humans catch you..

those humans...they always kill the ocean
creatures when they try to help

that manatee is in need of mapquest.

I don't think onNYturf can claim too much credit for that photo. And honestly New York magazine's photos highlight the fact that onNYturf altered the shape of the building and removed the surrounding trees from the neighborhood to make it look significantly worse. All sides need to be a bit more honest. I noticed that right away as I live in Prospect Heights.

Too bad dogs can't shoot out poop like a rocket or a nice #2 on Dubyas face woulda been a beautiful thing.

I just noticed "Jen Chung" instead of "Jen Carlson". Any reason behind this change, Jen ?

Manatees have been know to travel. I like them a lot.

Love the photo of the dog! Also, the panoramic shots of NYC on Flickr are great. Check them out!

Thank you, PleaseShutUp, for calling a spade a spade. I'm not sure which rendering is more accurate (because the massing of the proposed buildings--particularly on the left--couldn't be more dissimilar in each photo) but onnyturf is clearly manipulating the existing image to make the AY project seem like more of a neighborhood-crusher.

I applaud both illustrators for striving to show how the new buildings might appear in context (and when you look at the NY Mag rendering--which is probably more accurate--it doesn't seem all that horrible...kind of reminds me of Hell's Kitchen) but no one is served by overblown fictional renderings masquerading as fact.

@PleaseShutUp

Actually there was not a conspiracy. The buildings were based on the information that was available at the time, I cited my source for them, and the work was done in late February-early March, which you will note is winter time... thus no leaves on the trees. The trees are there in my images, just no leaves.

The images from onNYTurf were produced from the information available at the time. I cited my sources when I published them and stated that the drawings were a best-guess. The images were also produced at the end of February and published March 3rd. There are not too many leaves on the trees at that time of year. The trees are actually in the images, just no leaves.
