OMG, i saw that man and his elderly, home-shaven cat... poor kitty, an actual rope with a mere slip-knot around his neck. kept walking towards eastern parkway and the man kept pulling him back. said the cat was 19 and that he'd shaven him himself.
jake, i'm begging you, leave the commentary to jen.
"instead of filthy hipsters?"
"phew"
"Anorexic Brooklynites"
"Umm, maybe because you stabbed some poor kid to death over a plastic mp3 player?"
it hurts.
No, the MP3 player remark was a well placed and witty.
Yeah, the guy has that noose around the cat's neck - I'm sure if you saw it, you definitely wouldn't forget it. I called the cat Garfield but he told me his real name. The cat jumped up on the wall by the fountain outside of the Brooklyn Museum and walked along, completely oblivious to the water and thumping from nearby. Pretty amazing. And he posed for pictures. He must be a local celebrity.
Stop hipster backlash!
Where is the Gowanus pool? I've been to the Red Hook pool, but never heard of another...
Hipsters are skinny and filthy, so jake is just stating the truth.
Agruntythirst is right. That remark was completely well-done.
Bwahaha "instead of filthy hipsters" hahahaha...
Seriously though, public pools scare me, especially one with kids. I remember going to one as a young lad in Astoria and refusing to step foot in the water because I saw, no joke - stay with me here, floating logs of poo. What was especially curious was the fact that the pool was still packed in. God knows how many little tykes peed in there too.
Astoria's pool has always been known for their floaters. I haven't been in ages. Ah, the good old days.
the victim's dad is the one that said "Every night when I'm alone I ask the Lord why this happened to me." not the guy who stabbed him. sooo, the joke doesnt make much sense...nice try though!
"Every night when I'm alone I ask the Lord why this happened to me," Samuel said in Brooklyn Supreme Court. "I truly did not know events would take place that would end up with your son's life being taken."
Errol Rose is the victim's father. Nice try "hmmmm." Next time try reading slower it'll help your reading comprehension and don't be so quick to post thinking you're one up on someone.
that pool is btw. nevins and 3rd ave and douglas and degraw streets. according to a sign by it, it's known as the "double d" pool.
