The D is clean? Thats news to me! I am forever dodging chicken bones, fried rice, sunflower seeds, peanut shells, any and all beverage bottles both glass and plastic, nail clippings, water on the seat among other things..I haven't ran into any dead bodies though..so I guess you could say its clean..

Of course you can get a seat on the V train! No one takes the damn thing! It was only invented to piss off people riding the F train.

The V is useless in Manhattan but it does free up the F in Queens making the train to LaGuardia tolerable (well, train to the bus to LaGuardia). I want cleaner stations and more trains outside of rush hours.

I rate by air conditioning; the closer the inside of a subway car feels like a meat locker, the better. So, lines that use R32s or R40s, like the N and W, rate near the top. Second consideration: lack of crowds. V, near the top. www.forgotten-ny.com

I'm not surprised that the V features the best chance of getting a seat during rush hour, as no one takes the damn thing. Is it just me, or does the V make anyone else's temperature a little boily?

I know it's ultimately for the greater good, but the west side 1/2/3 service on the weekends is the most f-ed up mess I have ever seen in my life. It's totally unreliable. I can only pray the construction will be done soon.
