The people at fault do not include Jennifer Moore and race has nothing to do with this issue. The media continues to mention that she was wearing a halter top and a skirt--as if this provoked a sexual predator. Sexual predators attack women regardless of how they are dressed. And sexual predators come in all shapes, sizes and colors, but interestingly enough, not gender. It is men that attack, rape and murder women, even though they know it is wrong. It is Coleman who is to blame, whether he's black, white, asian, arab, or indian. The other party responsible in this case are the NYPD officers who failed to help her. As a community, we should show outrage that she was allowed to wander off in such an intoxicated state. It is NYPD duty to serve and protect. For women all over New York, and the rest of this country, we should do more to make night a safer time. As her father said, "wrong place, wrong time." The victim is not to blame.

The person who made the comment that if they really want to pay tribute to their friend, they should make a vow not to go into New York and get drunk until they pass out. It sounds like she is blaming New York. The bottom line is Ms. Moore went drinking and the bar should have never served her drinks to begin with because she is underage. However this is not because its New York its because the girl was sneaking out of her fathers house to go partying and I am sure she knows the legal drinking age. If her Ghana(I believe by his name) was smart he should have ran out there and picked her up considering the way he heard her acting on the phone. I am sorry for the families loss but don't blame it on New York it could happen anywhere especially if your underage and know one is checking ID
