Is the Ramble even a "gay trysting locale" anymore? I haven't heard of that happening there in years. Not since the big clean up of the park.

Where is the "Ramble"? Good thing I only smoke cigars, getting burned with that would leave a mark. They also keep the bugs away. I don't know about the bad old days but I do remember the start of the roller disco craze when everyone wanted to roller skate in CP. Remember the Pepsi Challenge? It was a 24 bike ride around CP and was held before the 5 boro bike tour.

I've heard that muggers will often ask for a cigarette in order to get the victims hands busy digging into pockets, making it easier to attack. Probably the guy was not really wanting a cigarette, but rather was intent on mugging the guy from the get-go. But in broad daylight! That sure takes me back to the bad old days of Central Park.
