<description>&lt;p&gt;Then how do the NJ Transit trains get to the yard in Sunnyside?
Also they share tracks and platforms at Penn Station. Depending on the track, you can get on a NJ Transit train from the LIRR section, and if you know how you can use an out of the way stairway in the LIRR area which is way less crowded.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;NJT and LIRR obviously use separate routes into Penn Station, and once there, they use separate platforms.   

It is fairly unlikely that LIRR trains ever travel over the same tracks as the NJ Transit ones.  Besides..... it&apos;s almost definitely Amtrak&apos;s fault, as they installed signaling equipment that didn&apos;t conform to their own specifications.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Oh, and Amtrak seems to be at fault not NJ Transit. Although I wonder why they didn&apos;t buy the same exact cars as the LIRR did, which fit into Penn Station.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
