As a long-time resident and founder of the Crown Heights North Association, Inc., we initiated the long-awaited process of designation for the area. The original survey was done in 1978 and a group of homeowners' came together to renew interest in obtaining designation. A public hearing is scheduled for September 19th at 1 Centre Street and we ask and encouarage all interested parties and preservationists to come down and testify in favor of designation.
