Still No Answers In Crobar Shootings

The two Queens women who were shot inside Crobar on Thursday night are both out of the hospital and doing ok, but answers as to what exactly happened that night don't seem to be quickly forthcoming.

Angelita Dunkly and her friend Antoinette Bryan were enjoying their whiskey sours around 10:20 p.m., when they heard a loud noise. "I knew right away I was shot," Dunkley told the Daily News. Worse,

"No one at the club believed it at first," Bryan said, adding that the music continued playing and patrons kept dancing. "Then people saw the blood."

Doctors at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan told Dunkley that she was hit by a .22 caliber bullet that is still lodged near her knee.

Since the incident police have not named a suspect or even a description of the shooter. The victims say "no one ever saw who fired the shots."

This shooting seems to be part of a larger, and worrisome, trend of violence in the packed chelsea club scene. " The 10th Precinct, in which the Crobar is located, has seen a 7% spike in crime so far this year, fueled in part by a 39% bump in felony assaults, including stabbings and nonfatal shootings, according to police statistics."

Angelita, Antoinette and their friend in the white pants and pink shirt know full well who discharged the non conventional weapon that was in their possession. The next story on this case if it gets published will be the arrest of all three for the shooting and false statements to the police. I cannot wait....
