Free Burrito Alert for Next Tuesday!

Thanks to Midtown Lunch for tipping us off -- ~~today~~ Chipotle is giving away free burritos at its new location on 48th between 6th & 7th Aves next Tuesday:

That’s right…. the day has finally arrived. Wednesday, the Chipotle on 48th St. between 6th and 7th avenue is opening to the public- and to celebrate (as all new Chipotles do), Tuesday is free burrito day. That’s right. On Tuesday, from 11am to 8pm, everyone willing to wait in line for god knows how long, will be rewarded with a free burrito and soda.

Get out the cameraphone and scope out the situation for us or shoot us an email and let us know how the line is. Hell, set up a webcam a la the Shake Shack! If you're health conscious, skip the visit to the Chipotle calculator until after you eat.

This seems like a fool's errand. The lines at the pre-exisiting Chipotles are usually unbearably long, even when you have to pay cash money. I can't imagine what they'll be like when they're giving away burritos for free.

I was addicted to this place all winter. I couldn't stop myself. Once I found a bug in my food but ate through it cause I couldn't stop myself. I didn't even stop after the SECOND time I found a bug! In fact, it was only when I started having stomach problems that I've since cut down. Every time I eat there, I have what feels like a massive hernia the next morning. I've really been trying to learn my lesson, but even the free promotion tempts me...but I'm working on it, damn it, I'm working so very hard...
