As far as smoking goes, I am a non-smoker but do not complain about those that do smoke outside. It is not the smokers fault that Bloomberg passed a law that does not allow smoking indoors. Here is the option, no noise outside, smoker inside. You choose. BTW, Union and 8th is the busiest intersection in Park Slope, not Union and 5th. I am ecstatic that this place opened, 7th Avenue has barely any place to hang out and it has turned into baby heaven! I am tired of parnets that wander into stores such as Blue Apron - Mom, Dad, Baby, and carriage, why can't one parent shop and the other wait outside with the carriage! My bruised ankles can't take it anymore! Everyone needs to have a little edge, this is New York! If you want to bring your babies out to eat at 11:00 PM and do not want to be around drunk, lound folks using vulgar language...MOVE!

With the addition of the Black Sheep (on Bergen), the Cherry Tree just opening up (on 4th ave), and now Union Hall, I may never have to set foot in O'Connors again. Hooray for good bars in North Slope.

Yeah, does M know Park Slope at all? Union Hall seems like a terrific addition to the n. slope--and like another poster said, part of a busy commercial intersection with no upstairs tenants. V. well designed and I hope they do well here.

I live in the Slope and am thrilled to have a bar that I can go with a group of friends nearby. The North Slope is actually fairly devoid of bars, so this is not a case of oh no another bar. Before this, it was between Snookys and the Santa Fe Grill. I say welcome Union Hall.

Yeah, naysayers either don't live in the Slope or haven't been to Union Hall. It looks like a lot of care went into it and as a Sloper, I'm glad to have somewhere else to hang out. Great Lakes and Commonwealth are cool, but Union Hall opens early, and just feels right. And I'm not a fucking yuppie. Viva the new place!

It sucks that Park Slope is now plagued with the bar problems of the Lower East Side/East Village! A bocce "arena" may be nice for the patrons, but what about the neighbors who deal with a bar (outside smokers, noise, etc...) on their residential block?! Frankly, it's disturbing and annoying. Bars go away and let us live in a peaceful neighborhood!
